Processing personal data
A personal data is any data that can (directly or indirectly) identify a natural person. Personal data can be, for example, a name or telephone number, but also a date of birth or IP address.
The Core Effect processes personal data that you have provided yourself when subscribing, via a webform or during an event, such as contact details and other personal data required for registration and payment, including first and last name, gender, date of birth, address details, telephone number, billing information and e-mail address.
Website visit
In general, it is possible to visit the website without providing personal data. However, for statistical purposes – including through Google Analytics – The Core Effect processes the data via which you arrived at the website, the dates and times that you visit the website, the pages and sections of the website you visit (how long, how often and in what order), what information you view and what information you upload or download from the website.
The Core Effect collects this data so that we can optimally tailor the content of the website and the service to the wishes and needs of our website users. We may retain the non-identifiable information we collect for future use and may also pass it on to third parties.
Purpose of processing
The personal data we collect will only be used for the purposes for which it was provided. For example, we will only use your personal data to send you a newsletter if you have signed up for it. If you use our contact form, we will only use your personal data to contact you.
The purposes for processing personal data are: performance of an agreement, invoicing for services rendered, establishing identity and complying with other legal obligations, maintaining contact with (potential) members, generating statistics on the use of the website and/or to analyse and optimise the website.
Legal grounds for processing
The processing of your personal data is based on various legal grounds. The main legal basis is that we process your personal data because this is necessary to fulfil our agreement between you and The Core Effect and because you have given The Core Effect permission to do so. We also process your personal data because, as far as we are concerned, this is necessary to inform and keep you informed of our activities and/or deliver our newsletter. Finally, in some situations we are required by law.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Sometimes it is necessary to share your personal data with service providers. For example, The Core Effect uses Vimeo for the online classes, Mailchimp to send a newsletter or Stripe to collect payments. The Core Effect will only share your personal data with third parties if we are contractually or legally obliged to do so or if it is necessary to perform or draw attention to our services.
Third parties to whom your personal data are disclosed are themselves responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The Core Effect is neither responsible nor liable for the processing of your personal data by these third parties.
The Core Effect will under no circumstances sell your personal data to third parties.
Retention period
First of all, you may always ask The Core Effect to delete the data you have provided. If you do not do so, we will retain your data no longer than necessary for the provision of our services or for as long as there is a legal Agreement or other relationship between you and The Core Effect.
If you have provided your personal data to receive the newsletter, your personal data will be kept for as long as you wish to receive our newsletter. If you unsubscribe from the newsletter, we will delete your personal data immediately.
